Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks an LPN to provide nursing care in the Sickle Cell Clinic under the supervision of an RN. You will support patients with medical regimens and assist with procedures within the unit.

Responsibilities include collecting information from patients and records, administering medications, performing venipunctures, teaching patients and families, coordinating referrals and discharge planning, and participating in CPR/BLS during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse (LPN) in good standing.
• Ability to collect information from patients and records and document accurately.
• Demonstrated nursing skills in a busy clinical unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to medical regimen and unit standards.
• Assist physicians and health team with interventions and examinations.
• Perform venipunctures and administer medications as ordered.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures; set up equipment.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/BLS as needed.
• Maintain patient records with accurate charting and communications.
