Job summary

Monroechamber in Cypress, TX seeks an experienced Lead CNC Lathe Machinist for a potential-to-hire role. The position offers a 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm), Mon-Fri, with a pay range of $28.00-$38.00 per hour.

You will set up and operate Haas CNC lathes, read blueprints, select tooling, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. Applicants should have at least 3 years of Haas lathe experience, be skilled with precision measuring tools, and work well independently and with teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Haas CNC lathe operation and setup experience.
• Experience with fiberglass composite materials is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to stand for shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes according to drawings and specs.

Position Title

Lead CNC Lathe Machinist Wage: $28.00-$38.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday We are seeking an experienced Haas CNC Lathe Operator for a potential-to-hire opportunity in Cypress, TX.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets required for production runs
• Machine fiberglass composite materials and other production components to required tolerances
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections to verify product accuracy
• Troubleshoot minor machine, tooling, and production issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Record production data, inspections, and process adjustments accurately
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when operating equipment and handling materials

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Haas CNC lathe operation and setup experience preferred
• Experience machining fiberglass composite materials strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and machine setup
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring tools and inspecting parts to tight tolerances
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift except during scheduled breaks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
