Job Description

We have immediate openings for Skilled Laborers in these regions:

• Hagerstown, MD
• Wallops Island, VA

Summary

Work on various construction projects, transferring between tasks based on demands and your experience, with or without close supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive work trucks as needed.
• Perform traffic maintenance and flagging.
• Maintain job site housekeeping.
• Assist with measuring, staking, and aligning forms.
• Signal equipment operators for machinery alignment and movement.
• Assist with earth leveling, concrete mixing, and finishing.
• Position, join, and seal pipe sections.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Apply protective coatings and sealants.
• Assist with demolition, cutting, and insulating tasks.

Education and Experience

• At least one year of related experience or training.
• Experience with structural steel, bridges, utilities, or road work preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Read and understand simple instructions and memos.
• Basic math skills.
• Follow directions and handle basic tools.
• Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Stand, walk, climb, and work in various positions.

Certificates and Licenses

• Flagger certification required to act as a flagger.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges from $20/hr to $24/hr, depending on experience and location. Benefits include medical, life, disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan.
