State Utility Contractors, Inc. is seeking skilled laborers for our Pipeline Division in the Carolinas. You will join crews installing water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure and support daily construction operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active construction sites.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
• Available for overtime, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage pipe.
• Perform excavation support, grading, material handling, and site cleanup.
• Safely use hand and power tools required for underground utility construction.
• Work closely with pipe layers, equipment operators, and foremen to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or superintendent.

As a Skilled Laborer, you will work alongside experienced crews installing underground utilities and supporting daily construction operations. Whether you have previous pipeline experience or are looking to start a career in utility construction, we are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who are willing to learn, take direction, and grow within our organization.
