Job summary

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors, LLC in Northern Virginia is seeking a Skilled Laborer to join our field crew. You will operate tools, assist skilled trades, unload materials, and help set up scaffolding while maintaining a safe, organized jobsite.

Hourly pay ranges from $25.00 to $32.00, with full-time hours and potential overtime. A HS diploma or GED and construction experience are preferred; reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand safety rules and tool/equipment instructions.
• Must pass any skills tests as required by the jobsite.
• Own hand tools; power tools provided by Christman.

Responsibilities

• Uses required tools to complete tasks on the job site.
• Follows instructions from supervisors and implements construction plans.
• Assists other trades workers on the job site.
• Builds and takes down scaffolding or temporary structures, as required.
• Maintains jobsite cleanliness and safety; follows material disposal protocol.
• Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment; distributes them as directed.
• Directs traffic during roadway construction as required.
• Keeps tools and workspace organized; reports hazards.
• Assists with maintenance of construction tools or equipment.

CMAC is looking for Skilled Laborer in our Northern Virginia region.What You Will Do:As a Skilled Laborer, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Uses required tools to complete assigned tasks on the job site.Follows instructions from supervisors and implements construction plans.Assists other trades workers on the job site.Builds and takes down scaffolding or temporary structures, as required.Maintains jobsite cleanliness, removing any safety hazards and following material disposal protocol.Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment, distributing them to the appropriate locations as directed.Directs traffic during roadway construction, as required.Assists with maintenance of construction tools or equipment.Keeps immediate working area clean. Must use broom and wheelbarrows and follow material procedures.Identifies and reports safety hazards. Takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.Expected Hours of Work and Travel: Full time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Construction may, at times, continue around the clock to meet deadlines. Must have reliable transportation.
