Job summary

Climate Pros, LLC is seeking a Construction Technician – Commercial Refrigeration to perform journeyman-level installation and modification of commercial HVAC/R systems on new construction, renovations, and retrofits in industrial settings.

You will read blueprints, install and test components, coordinate with forepersons and inspectors, and uphold union safety rules, codes, and quality standards while maintaining professional relations with customers.

Qualifications

• Must have journeyman status or completed union apprenticeship in refrigeration/HVAC
• Proven experience in commercial refrigeration construction environments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and control drawings
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills relevant to installed systems
• Effective communication and teamwork in a union construction setting

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and commission commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R systems using drawings and documents
• Perform skilled pipefitting, brazing, welding, electrical, and mechanical work for refrigeration projects
• Install and connect compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, heat exchangers, and refrigeration rack systems
• Pressure test, evacuate, and leak-test piping and joints per code and standards
• Electrical testing and verification of circuits, components, sensors, and controls
• Inspect installations for compliance with scope, safety, and regulations
• Coordinate work with forepersons, project managers, other trades, and inspectors
• Maintain professional interactions with customers and general contractors on site
