Job summary

Climate Pros, LLC is seeking a qualified Construction Technician - Commercial Refrigeration to install and modify HVAC/R systems in commercial environments under union guidelines. This journeyman-level role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with foremen, and adhering to safety and code standards.

You will work on new construction, renovations, and retrofits, with opportunities for on-call rotations and professional growth within a union-based team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized union apprenticeship or journeyman status in refrigeration, pipefitting, HVAC/R, or a related trade.
• Experience in commercial refrigeration construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and control drawings.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills related to installed systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and commission commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R systems.
• Perform skilled pipefitting, brazing, welding, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Install and connect components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and piping.
• Pressure test, evacuate, and leak-test piping and joints in compliance with standards.
• Coordinate work with forepersons, project managers, and inspectors to ensure progress.
