Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience, including aluminum work.
• Formal welding training or equivalent demonstrated experience, military or civilian.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and repair instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hull areas for cracks, corrosion, and damaged welds; confirm repair scope.
• Perform aluminum MIG welding and TIG welding per approved WPS and qualifications.
• Carry out steel welding and fabrication on hull components per procedures.
• Prepare surfaces, remove coatings, and fit-up per repair instructions.
• Cut and fabricate replacement brackets, mounts, and panels from approved materials.
• Maintain records of materials, qualifications, and inspections for traceability.
