Job summary

Maginot Support Services, Inc. (MS2USA) is seeking a Welder for Hull Repair and Refurbishment. The role focuses on aluminum hull structures and related steel fittings, following approved drawings, WPS, and customer qualifications.

The welder will perform aluminum MIG welding (GMAW) and, when required, TIG welding (GTAW), and complete authorized hull fabrication and repair tasks in accordance with project plans and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Three years of welding and fabrication experience, incl. aluminum structural welding.
• Formal welding training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and repair instructions.
• Must meet background checks and medical screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hull areas for cracks, corrosion, and damaged welds; confirm repair scope.
• Perform aluminum MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding per WPS and qualifications.
• Complete steel welding and fabrication on hull components as authorized.
• Prepare surfaces, remove coatings, and ensure proper joint fit-up per instructions.
• Fabricate replacement brackets, mounts, panels, and fittings per drawings.
• Maintain alignment with fixtures, clamps, and measuring tools.
• Coordinate with QC and supervisors for inspections and rework if needed.
• Maintain documentation of material, welds, and inspections.
