Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to perform tasks such as paving, excavating, and grading using backhoes, pavers, dozers, scrapers, and graders. You will ensure safe operation, maintain equipment, and collaborate with the field team to complete daily tasks accurately and on time.

The role requires at least 2 years of equipment operating experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of equipment operating experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) a plus.
• Related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoes, pavers, dozers, scrapers, pans and graders safely and efficiently.
• Discuss plans for the day with field manager and review blueprints as needed.
• Adjust levers and pedals to control attachments and run equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance: cleaning, greasing, oiling machines.
• Apply experience to develop fine grading and slope cutting skills.
• Prioritize safety and maintain teamwork with other operators on site.
• Ensure compliance with Allan Myers policies and safety standards.
• Support safety initiatives and Home Safe Tonight policies.
