Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to safely run backhoes, pavers, dozers, scrapers, pans and graders on active construction sites in the Mid‑Atlantic region. You will be responsible for pre‑use checks, safe operation, minor maintenance, and coordination with a field manager to complete tasks efficiently.

You must have at least 2 years of equipment operating experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of equipment operating experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) a plus.
• Related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely (backhoes, pavers, dozers, scrapers, pans, graders).
• Discuss plans with field manager and determine best method to complete work safely, accurately, on time.
• Perform equipment maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling.
• Maintain teamwork and ensure others stay clear of machinery in tight spaces.
• Make judgments on efficient operation of equipment and adhere to safety policies.
