Job summary

DSP Constructors is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our Novi-based team. The role involves operating cranes, bulldozers, crawlers, and various heavy machinery to move construction materials at sites, while performing setup, inspections and light maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of equipment operation experience, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to coordinate with other crafts to keep projects on track. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of safe work practices for power equipment and hazardous conditions.
• Familiarity with duties of other craft workers and construction materials/tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods and tools.
• Able to establish relationships with all parties in construction to facilitate harmony.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Ensure heavy equipment is stored safely and securely.
• Operate heavy equipment safely to minimize risk of injury or damage.
• Proper use of DBC tools, equipment and rented machinery.
