Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Associate to join our team and contribute to our operations. This role performs routine maintenance and assists the Facilities Management Department in the repair and maintenance of physical structures, equipment, and fixtures of the facility and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of facilities.
• Conduct inspections and identify repair or improvement needs.
• Address and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance services.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist in space planning and organization to optimize facility layout.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in commercial/hospital trades with knowledge of hospital facility repair and maintenance.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC controls, carpentry, furniture repair, or painting.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations including TJC, DHS, OSHA.
• Must maintain a current Fire Safety card.

This position is represented by SEIU - UHW and is covered by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
