Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Fabrication Operator in Hartford, WI for a 3rd shift, 8:30 PM–6:30 AM (Sun–Thu). This is a potential to hire role.

The ideal candidate will set up and run dies, operate feed systems, and load materials with cranes while maintaining quality and safety. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required, with training provided for equipment and measuring tools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred technical training).
  • Proficient with computers to access work documents and enter production data.
  • Able to understand blueprints and key dimensions for quality parts.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run dies (compound, progressive, etc.) per customer requirements.
  • Operate feed system and associated components with minimal assistance.
  • Run multiple machines and assist teammates with setups.
  • Load/unload coil/material using cranes and motorized equipment.
  • Identify daily task improvements and train others on equipment and measurement tools.
  • Follow safety policies and proactively identify safety improvements.

Fabrication Operator

$23.00/Hour

3rd Shift

08:30 PM - 06:30 AM Sunday - Thursday

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Fabrication Operator position at a company in Hartford, WI. This is a potential to hire position.

Fabrication Operator Responsibilities:
  • Little to no guidance when setting up and running dies such as compound, progressive, combination, changeovers, removing die sections and stacking of any parts per customer's requirement
  • Set up and operation of feed system which includes Dereeler, Straightener, Feeder and oilers with little to no assistance
  • Ability to run multiple machines and assist others in setting up other machines
  • Certified to operator and use Jib Crane, overhead crane, Big Joe and other methods of motorized equipment to load and unload coil/material and parts
  • Can Identify room for improvements for daily tasks and have the ability to train others on most equipment
  • Can train others in using all measurement tools used in fabrication
  • Ability to make good decisions based on daily tasks related to production
  • Follow safety policies and proactively identify safety improvements
  • May be required to perform other duties if the workload dictates
Requirements For Fabrication Operator:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (completed); a technical degree and/or training is preferred
  • Proficient with computers to access documents related to work tasks and enter daily production numbers
  • Meet performance standards of assigned work and perform basic quality checks and understand key dimensions to ensure quality
  • Comprehend blueprints and work assignments
  • Basic Math skills to calculate precise dimensions needed to make a quality part
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time
