Job summary

Thompson-Arthur Paving and Construction, a CRH company, is seeking an Equipment Operator in Greensboro, NC. You will operate paving and heavy equipment to support asphalt, curb and site utilities projects.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year (3 years preferred) road construction experience, and a valid CDL with possible hazmat endorsements. Travel and night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience or training in related field; 3 years road construction preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate paving and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Control material flow and machine depths for asphalt paving.
• Perform routine maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Coordinate with trucks and crews to ensure smooth work flow.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.
• Shovel concrete or asphalt, set up/tear down equipment.
