Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services of the Diocese of Sacramento, Inc. is seeking an Embalmer at St. Mary Cemetery and Funeral Center.

The role requires a California-licensed embalmer with a strong Catholic background and a minimum of two years of embalming experience. Full-time position with a Monday–Saturday schedule (days and evenings). Pay range is $19–$25 per hour, with duties including embalming, cosmetics, dressing and casketing while maintaining utmost respect for the deceased and

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree in Mortuary Science required.
• Experience: Two years of embalming experience required.
• Licensing: California State Embalmer's License and CA Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming, dressing, cosmetics and casketing of decedents.
• Maintain highest standards of customer care and confidentiality.
• Ensure prep room is clean and disinfected to state and company standards.
• Set up viewing area and coordinate with families, clergy and staff.
• Transfer decedents to and from funeral homes as directed.
• Comply with universal precautions and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Apprentices and perform duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
