Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services of the Diocese of Sacramento, Inc. is seeking a Funeral Service Assistant to support families and Service Directors during vigils, masses and committals. You will help with setup, casket handling, and transportation logistics to ensure dignified services.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills, with opportunities for evening and weekend coverage as scheduled.

Responsibilities

Exhibit exceptional customer service skills.
Assist on funeral services to set up and assist with casket loading/unloading.
Assist in adjusting decedents in caskets as necessary.
Transport flowers and memorabilia in hearses and vans for funeral services.
Set up & clean up before and after services during business hours and evenings.
Maintain general cleanliness of Funeral Center/Home areas including Chapels, bathrooms, reception rooms, etc.
Transportation of decedent for services via hearses and vans.
Maintain cleanliness and preparedness of vehicles and report issues to supervisor.
