Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Skilled Electrician to join the Fibrebond team in Minden, LA. The position requires an average of 54 hours per week (including overtime) between 6 am and 4:30 pm, with overtime every other Saturday from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate is $20.90–$28.00, based on experience and qualifications. Relocation is available for candidates living more than 50 miles from the Minden site.

What You’ll Do

The Skilled Electrician will read blueprints, install electrical components, bend and install complex conduit configurations, pull and terminate wire and large power cable, and troubleshoot electrical problems. The role involves moderate supervision, completing semi‑complex tasks and assisting teammates in mid‑level work for development and training. Hand and power tools will be used safely and effectively.

In This Role, You Will

• Install both standard and more complex conduit and electrical components.
• Read blueprints to determine placement of all components.
• Lead crews.
• Pull wire and/or cable for smaller gauge circuits, low‑voltage alarms and signals, and high‑power large‑gauge circuits through conduit and wireway.
• Anchor and secure all equipment.
• Ensure proper grounding.
• Properly bus and torque gear.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years electrical experience.
• Experience bending conduit.
• Experience reading blueprints and using hand and power tools.
• Eaton will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical skills certification.
• Journeyman‑level experience.
• NEC knowledge and experience.
• Experience leading crews.

Skills

• Basic shop math skills and use of a tape measure.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Strong, verifiable record of attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Wearing PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, working from ladders, standing for long periods, bending, crouching, and using manual dexterity for precise small movements.
• Working outside in all weather conditions.
