Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Skilled Electrician to join the Fibrebond team in Minden, LA. The position averages 54 hours per week (including overtime) and pays $20.90–$28.00 per hour. Relocation is available for those living more than 50 miles from the site.

What you’ll do:

• Install both standard and more complex conduit and electrical components.
• Read blueprints to determine placement of all components.
• Lead crews.
• Pull wire and/or cable for smaller gauge circuits, low‑voltage alarms and signals, and high‑power large‑gauge circuits through conduit and wireway.
• Anchor and secure all equipment and ensure proper grounding.
• Properly buss and torque gear.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience.
• Experience bending conduit.
• Experience reading blueprints and using hand and power tools.
• No immigration sponsorship or support for this position (e.g., CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F‑1 to H‑1B, H‑1B cap registration, O‑1, E‑3, TN status, I‑485).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electrical skills certification.
• Journeyman‑level experience.
• NEC knowledge and experience.
• Experience leading crews.

Skills:

• Basic shop math skills and the ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills (written and oral).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.

Physical Requirements:

• Wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots, with reasonable accommodations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.; work from ladders, stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and use manual dexterity for precise movements, with or without accommodations.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
