Procter & Gamble is hiring Electrical and Controls technicians to support manufacturing operations at the Mehoopany plant. Roles focus on enabling production throughput, reducing downtime, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement through technical mastery.

Responsibilities include maintaining high-speed packaging, process and utility equipment; using electrical test gear; preventive maintenance; and PLC/SCADA/HMI programming. Shifts rotate on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED with a 2-year technical degree/certification in Industrial Electrical.

• Experience in an industrial electrical environment and process controls.
• Proficient with PLCs, HMIs, AC drives and robotics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and single-line drawings without supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and troubleshoot high-speed packaging, process, and utilities equipment.
• Diagnose electrical problems with test equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Work with VFDs, servo drives, robotics and machine control equipment.
• Analyze data trends to identify control issues and drive improvements.
• Mentor others and share technical knowledge.

Electrical and Controls technicians are responsible for enabling production throughput, reducing equipment downtime, troubleshooting issues, eliminating defects, and building technical mastery. They focus on initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects with the goal of delivering the best product, at the lowest cost, with the highest quality, and in a safe environment. They have electrical technical mastery to successfully troubleshoot problems and to proactively improve production systems.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED & 2-year technical degree/certification in Industrial Electrical or >5 years’ experience in related field
• Applied electrical and controls skills in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge and practical application with some of the following technology areas: PLC’s, HMI’s, process instrumentation, machine control systems, variable frequency drives (PowerFlex, etc.), servo drives, robotics, power distribution (<600V), control system networking, and electrical safety
• Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for industrial electrical issues
• Knowledge and practical application of electrical test equipment
• Capable of using PLC program navigation for troubleshooting
• Understands the Hazards and Safety associated with up to 1000vac.
• Able to read and use electrical schematics and single-line drawings.
• Able to use electrical troubleshooting tools for measurements and analysis.
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Able to rotate shifts (on a 2-2-3 rapid rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts)
