Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Skilled Construction Tradesman to perform demolition, wood carpentry, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry on commercial tenant improvements and new construction projects across California.

You will work in retail environments, sometimes travel, and must have four+ years of recent experience, own hand tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team; company vehicles are provided.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of recent skilled construction experience.
• Possess trade and hand tools to perform the work.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient English communication skills to write reports and emails.
• A valid and insurable driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be available to work various shifts, travel, and work nights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls; company vehicles provided; may take vehicle home.
• Demo walls, cabinets, countertops, masonry and interior doors.
• Install wood carpentry, framing, and cabinetry.
• Install ceiling tiles, hardware, window coverings.
• Cut, install or repair drywall; taping and mudding.
• Hang interior doors and install casing or trim.
• Prepare and clean-up job sites for painting.
• Paint repairs and dispose of painting materials properly.
• Provide updates to foreman on estimated completion times.
• Report inventory on materials and supplies to supervisors.
• Complete service/work order reports.
• Work in a team environment or independently.
• Additional duties as needed.

As a Skilled Construction Tradesman, you will complete commercial tenant improvements within the role of demolition, wood carpentry, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry within retail environments.

Work Responsibilities

• Company provides company vehicles to respond to service calls; vehicles may be taken home to start the workday or picked up at the local shop, depending on assignment and location
• Demo walls, cabinets, counter tops, masonry and interior doors
• Install wood carpentry, framing, and cabinetry
• Install ceiling tiles, hardware, window coverings on occasion
• Cut, install or repair drywall includes taping and mudding
• Hang interior doors and install casing or trim
• Prepare and clean-up job sites for painting
• Paint repairs and properly dispose of painting materials
• Provide updates to foreman and supervisors regarding estimated time of completion on repairs or upgrades
• Report inventory on materials and supplies to supervisors
• Complete service and/or work order reports
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed
