Job summary

G R Birdwell Construction is seeking a Skilled Laborer in Pasadena, TX to support a busy site under the supervision of the Superintendent/Foreman. The role involves logistics, material handling, and assisting with installation of work at a civil construction site.

Responsibilities include tracking deliveries, inspecting materials, maintaining inventory, loading/unloading, signaling operators, hoisting and operating equipment, and ensuring a clean, safe worksite.

Qualifications

• Experience with logistics and material handling preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Willingness to perform housekeeping and general tasks.

Responsibilities

• Tracks and escorts deliveries and inspects materials.
• Signs tickets and maintains inventory control with barcode tags.
• Keeps dumpsters, hydration and sanitation stations maintained.
• Designates storage of flammable liquids and organizes lay-down areas.
• Loads and unloads trucks; signs in/out materials and equipment.
• Rigs loads for hoisting and signals crane/truck operators.
• Operates roller compactor and off-road dump truck.
• Cleans columns, walls, floors, tools, and equipment during pours.
• Performs general housekeeping of the worksite and acts as a fire watch for welding.
