Job summary

HRI, Inc. is seeking a skilled concrete worker to build and align forms for sidewalks, curbs or gutters and to patch voids. You will finish poured concrete on floors, walks and roads using hand and power tools and work with supervision as needed.

The role requires operating various tools, maintaining equipment, and adhering to PennDOT training and safety standards. Overtime, night shifts, and weekend work are common in this position.

Qualifications

• Must have own tools.
• Valid driver's license for the state of residence with acceptable driving record.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must successfully complete PennDOT Flagger Training Course.

Responsibilities

• Build wooden forms.
• Use hand tools such as circular saw, drill, cut-off saw, or Hilti Gun.
• Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete.
• Place control joints, finish edges, using edging tools and jointers.
• Place concrete with Screed or Power Screed. Finish concrete with Bull Float or Frezno.
• Apply curing compound.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Perform concrete structure work as needed.
• Operate company vehicle safely as required.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Care for company equipment.
• Work overtime including nights, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays.
