Job description

Seretta Construction Mid‑Atlantic, LLC.

We are seeking Concrete Finishers with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Finisher Helper.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.
• Placing and finishing of horizontal concrete.
• Vibration/strike‑off/floating and finishing of concrete using a walk‑behind trowel or a riding trowel. Some broom finish.
• Curing of concrete using curing compounds or wet curing methods.
• Use of highway straightedge, straightedge, jointers and edgers.
• Removing edges on expansion joints and sides.
• Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms.
• Pour, level, and smooth concrete on a variety of surfaces including roads, sidewalks, curbs, and floors.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
• Ability to kneel for long periods.
• Knowledge of hand‑held and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Finisher Helper.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
• Night work and traveling is involved.
• Repeated standing, bending, pushing and pulling for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day.
