Job summary

Qualdoc in Ashland, VA is seeking a CNC Machinist with structural steel fabrication experience for 1st shift. The role involves CNC setup and operation, blueprint interpretation, machining, and quality checks to support production.

You will work with team members to ensure safety and efficiency and use Global Shop for production records. The ideal candidate reads blueprints, uses hand and power tools, and maintains high accuracy.

Qualifications

Experience in CNC setup and operation for structural steel.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Global Shop.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Set up and run CNC machinery used in structural steel production, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machining and production requirements.
Operate hand and power tools for machining and assembly work.
Make machine adjustments to maintain proper performance, dimensions, and accuracy.
Inspect completed components to verify they meet design and structural specifications.
Identify equipment problems and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
Enter production information and maintain accurate records in Global Shop (ERP system).
Work with other team members to maintain safe, organized, and efficient shop operations.
