Job summary

Consolidated Sterilizer Systems in Billerica, MA is seeking an experienced machinist to program, set up and operate CNC milling centers and lathes, and to integrate conventional manual equipment.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, quality-driven, and capable of working alone or with others, with a strong work ethic and interest in continuous improvement. Experience with lean manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand 8-10 hours.
• Mechanical ability and dexterity.
• Independent focus and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Create machining operation sequences from blueprints.
• Select tooling, feeds, and cutting speeds.
• Program, set-up and operate Bridgeport 3-axis CNC milling center and Bridgeport CNC lathe.
• Set up and operate manual machines.
• Verify conformance with precision instruments.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and perform maintenance.
