Job summary

RBC Aerostructures LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift to operate CNC lathes and mills, load and unload parts, and ensure parts meet print specifications. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a growing aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate will have a CNC associate degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to document processes accurately. Overtime is possible on a 3pm–11pm shift.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CNC associate’s degree from Technical School required (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Experience running and setting up CNC lathes and/or mills.
  • Effective communication skills and a working command of the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts.
  • Load parts in machines, cycle machines, detect malfunctions and report issues.
  • Run production lots and maintain a safe, clean work area.
  • Perform setup and deburring on CNC machines without assistance.
  • Inspect machined parts and measure to print specifications.
  • Complete paperwork for parts and perform basic troubleshooting.

Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Due to continued growth, increased customer demand, and record sales, we are expanding our manufacturing operations and seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our 2nd Shift Team. CNC Machinists will operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. Load parts in machines, cycle machines, detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintain safe, organized and clean work environment. Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • 2nd Shift (3pm - 11PM)
  • Overtime available as needed
  • Perform typical machine shop operations
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance and document as required
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
  • Operates two or more CNC machines efficiently, including setup and deburring without assistance
  • Perform inspection of machined products, measuring parts to meet print specifications
  • Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
  • Perform basic troubleshooting as required
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and machinery
