RBC Bearings is expanding its manufacturing operations and seeks skilled CNC Machinists for the 2nd shift to fabricate parts on CNC lathes and mills. You will load parts, cycle machines, monitor tool wear, run production lots, and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNC associate’s degree from Technical School required (or equivalent work experience).

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Experience running and setting up CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Effective communication skills and a working command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and/or mills to fabricate parts.

• Inspect machined parts and measure to print specifications.

CNC Machinists will operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. Load parts in machines, cycle machines, detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintain safe, organized and clean work environment. Schedule

• Full-Time
• 2nd Shift (3pm - 11PM)
• Overtime available as needed

Some Essential Responsibilities

• Perform typical machine shop operations
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and document as required
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
• Operates two or more CNC machines efficiently, including setup and deburring without assistance
• Perform inspection of machined products, measuring parts to meet print specifications
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
• Perform basic troubleshooting as requiredPerform all other duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds independently; assistance available for heavier items
• Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and machinery
