QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Lathe) for a contract-to-perm opportunity in Tomball, TX. The role requires setting up and operating lathes, reading blueprints, and ensuring precision with micrometers and calipers.

You'll work 1st shift, 6:00am–2:30pm, with competitive pay between $25 and $28 per hour DOE. This position emphasizes quality, safety, and adherence to ISO procedures within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating lathes required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming concepts.
• Working knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and machine setups.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Ability to make machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic machining issues.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Accurately document job activities, transactions, and time worked.
• Follow ISO inspection procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while adhering to all company safety policies.

Physical Requirements
