Job summary

W3Global in Michigan seeks a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist for its Saginaw shop. The candidate will set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes on low-volume and prototype work, perform tool changes and offsets, edit programs at the machine, and read engineering blueprints to ensure precision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC lathe machining experience preferred.
• Experience with Mazak CNC lathes strongly preferred.
• Proven experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to make program edits at the machine.
• Experience with machine setups, offsets, and tool changes.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Must have and be able to use personal machining tools, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other standard precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently in a low-volume/prototype machining environment.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a Skilled CNC Lathe Machinist with experience in low-volume and prototype precision machining. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating and setting up CNC lathes, making program edits, performing tool changes and offsets, and interpreting engineering blueprints. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who can independently set up and operate machines while maintaining high standards of precision and quality.

Work Schedule

1st Shift

• Monday-Thursday: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
