Job summary

The Carpenter position with Arctic Slope Native Association, Ltd. involves construction work within the Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital campus and related housing properties. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of construction trade experience or technical school preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience preferred.
  • Prior carpentry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction work, all types of framing, including walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation.
  • Finish carpentry skills including installation of cabinets and trim, door and window installation including commercial grade hardware.
  • Operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts and loaders.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow all safety standards, including OSHA and other regulatory entities.
