Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel seeks a Construction Carpenter to build, repair, and maintain wooden structures using hand and power tools, including furniture and partitions. Occasional travel to village sites is required as part of the role.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least five years of carpentry experience; Alaska Journeyman certification is preferred, along with a valid Alaska driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years minimum experience in carpentry-related work.
• Must be able to travel to village work sites occasionally.
• Alaska Journeyman Carpenter certification preferred.
• Valid State of Alaska Driver's License.
• Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment.
• May be exposed to toxic chemicals.
• Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Writes simple correspondence.
• Able to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, repairs, and maintains wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions, and other parts of buildings using hand and power tools as assigned.
• Assists with general maintenance activities as directed.
