Job summary

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Carpenter for the Apache Junction Sewer District-WRF Expansion Project CMAR in Apache Junction, AZ. The Carpenter will measure, cut, and install wooden structures for bridges, drainage, and walls using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities include preparing layouts, building structures per prefab units, and assisting with decking installations, while maintaining safety and quality on a heavy civil site. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold or ladder.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to comply with safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measure distance and mark guidelines on working surface for layout.
• Prepare, build, and install wooden structures per prefab units.
• Assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Use carpenter's belt with hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking machinery.
