Skilled Carpenter

The Skilled Carpenter performs a wide range of carpentry tasks in commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. This role is best suited for carpenters who are experienced, self‑motivated, and capable of completing work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial and industrial carpentry duties, including:
  • Framing (wood and metal)
  • Doors, hardware, and trim
  • Drywall and acoustical ceilings
  • Cabinetry and finish work
  • Renovation and new construction tasks
• Safely operate standard hand and power tools
• Read and interpret construction documents and layout work accordingly
• Maintain quality, productivity, and jobsite organization
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a strong work ethic and professional attitude

Qualifications & Attributes

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial carpentry experience
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently
• Proficient with common carpentry tools and equipment
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR preferred (training available)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in varying conditions
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening

Work Environment

• Projects are typically within one hour of Sandusky, Ohio
• No overnight travel required
• Standard work hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Occasional voluntary Saturday work
