Job summary

Visiting Angels Greenville & Anderson, SC is seeking compassionate, adaptable in-home caregivers to support seniors with daily living tasks in their homes around Mount Pleasant and Charleston area. The role offers flexible 3- to 12-hour shifts, in-house training, and a family-style team environment.

You will provide non-clinical care, assist with mobility, reminders, meals, and transportation while maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Must have good communication skills and active listening with clients/families and staff.
• Must be able to remain calm in emergent situations and inform staff of changes to client status.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transportation to appointments and errands.
• Perform light housekeeping for the client.
• Be a pleasant, engaging and supportive companion.

Job Description

You will be responsible for an individuals safety and well-being to provide supportive non-clinical care. Schedules may vary from 3 hour shifts and beyond as we do care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, honest, in-home caregivers to provide the best care possible to seniors as well as others who need in home care.

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent

• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics

Compensation:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
