Job summary

Jabil, a global manufacturing solutions company, is hiring for an Assembly I role in South Carolina. You will perform back-end and box-build assembly, following detailed verbal or written instructions and visuals to ensure on-time shipments of quality products.

Responsibilities include verifying incoming materials, assembling with tooling and torque devices, scanning components, and maintaining certifications. Maintain 5S, safety, and be prepared to perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate quantity of parts to be prepped for use at any time.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to operate a Windows PC and related software.
• Advanced PC skills including Jabil software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed verbal or written instructions and visual aids.
• Verify incoming material and store using FIFO inventory system.
• Manually assemble components or box-build with specific tooling and torque drivers.
• Scan components from flow racks or Kanban locations.
• Maintain certifications in assembly operations and related tasks.
• Maintain 5S and cleanliness in the assigned area; perform preventative maintenance.
