Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Boilermaker to construct, assemble, maintain, and repair boilers and boiler house equipment. You will read blueprints and work with hand and power tools on site across our industrial and construction projects.

This role requires 4 years of Journeyman-level experience, NCCER certification, a valid driver’s license, and a TWIC card. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; we sponsor none. Work is performed on-site with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• Certification/License: NCCER, a Valid Driver’s License, and a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together.
• Inspect assembled vessels or components for defects.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts.
• Attach rigging and signal crane or hoist operators.
• Clean pressure vessel equipment.
• Install refractory bricks in fireboxes.
• Assemble large vessels on-site.
• Other duties as assigned.
