Job summary

Fix Auto Elgin is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to repair collision-damaged vehicles and restore them to top condition at our Elgin, IL shop. You will perform structural and non-structural repairs, panel work, and refinishing while using hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely.

You should bring proven repair experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven automotive repair or collision repair experience.
• Strong ability to diagnose, repair and refinish vehicle damage.
• Commitment to quality control and safe workmanship.
• Able to work independently and communicate with a team in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Repair collision-damaged vehicles and restore to safe operating condition.
• Perform structural and non-structural repairs including panels and suspension components.
• Use tools and equipment safely while maintaining an organized workspace.
• Conduct inspections to ensure repairs meet shop standards and customer needs.
• Collaborate with estimators and painters to keep repairs moving efficiently.
