Job summary

Federal Alarm is seeking an Experienced Alarm Technician to join our Memphis team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing, servicing, repairing, and inspecting low-voltage security and life-safety systems.

This is a full-time role based in Memphis, TN with potential travel. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining Fire Alarm, Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous alarm, security systems, or low-voltage technician experience required.
Knowledge of Fire Alarm, Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV systems.
Basic understanding of IT and networking infrastructure.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Willingness and ability to obtain NICET I Certification.

Responsibilities

Install, service, repair, and inspect low-voltage systems per standards and safety policies.
Service and troubleshoot Fire Alarm, Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV systems.
Assist senior technicians with complex systems and guide less-experienced techs.
Complete required service documentation.
Communicate job progress and provide professional customer service during installs and service calls.
Assist with customer onboarding and maintain strong customer relationships.
