The role offers a first shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and requires a minimum of three years of CNC machining experience; candidates must read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and write or edit CNC programs. Attention to detail and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Proven ability to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes independently.
• Experience with Mazatrol controls required.
• Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical, geometric, and trigonometric calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 2-Axis CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls.
• Perform independent machine setups and produce quality parts from customer drawings with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, and GD&T requirements.
• Write, download, and edit CNC programs, including zero and reference point instructions.
• Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Calculate machining requirements using basic mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Prove out and verify CNC part programs before production.
• Install and adjust three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops.
• Verify machine settings by measuring tool and workpiece positions and inspecting first-run and sample parts.
• Perform buddy checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the machining process.
• Maintain production records and assist with routine equipment maintenance.
