Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 2-Axis CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls.
• Perform independent machine setups and produce quality parts from customer drawings with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, and GD&T requirements.
• Write, download, and edit CNC programs, including zero and reference point instructions.
• Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Calculate machining requirements using basic mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Prove out and verify CNC part programs before production.
• Install and adjust three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops.
• Verify machine settings by measuring tool and workpiece positions and inspecting first-run and sample parts.
• Perform buddy checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the machining process.
• Maintain production records and assist with routine equipment maintenance.

The 2-Axis CNC Lathe Machinist programs, sets up, and operates CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls to produce high-quality parts from customer drawings with minimal supervision. Work Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM and bring a minimum of three years of CNC machining experience.
