Job summary

REIC Rentals is hiring an Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on heavyequipment in our Camas shop, with occasional field service. You will inspect returns, complete repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

• Clean driving record with no violations within the previous three years.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, primarily in the shop with occasional field service as needed.
• Service and operate equipment over 10,000 lbs.
• Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately identify and order required replacement parts.
• Manage inventory and monitor labor and parts costs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete required service documentation and recordkeeping.
• Evaluate repair costs versus equipment value when making repair decisions.
• Adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.

Ourideal candidate has experience working on a wide variety of equipment (bothdiesel and gasoline), values safety, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with : Mechanic work on all types of equipment from gas to diesel vehicles, to general tool to dirt moving and ariel equipment,working outside in all types of weather conditions.

Training provided (in addition to OJT): REIC Rentals Safety, Equipment, and Process training.

About the Role

As an Equipment Mechanic ,you'll primarily work in our shop performing maintenance and repairs on heavyequipment, including diesel and gasoline-powered equipment over 10,000 lbs.When equipment returns from the field, you'll inspect it for damage, completenecessary repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleetoperating safely and efficiently. Occasional field service may be required asneeded.

Physical Requirements

Approximate percentage of the workday:

• Standing – 20%
• Walking – 70%

This position is classified as non-exempt . If hired after the internship, target compensation is estimated between $52K - $82K per year, depending on many factors - this is just an estimate.
