Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking an Equipment Mechanic internship under the DoD SkillBridge program in Williston, North Dakota. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered equipment over 10,000 lbs, primarily in the shop, with some field service as needed, ensuring safety and reliability for a wide fleet.

The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, collaboration with customers, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Technical repair knowledge across a wide range of equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
Clean driving record with no violations within the previous three years.
Personal hand tools appropriate for general equipment repair and maintenance.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more multiple times throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, primarily in the shop with occasional field service as needed.
Service and operate a variety of equipment over 10,000 lbs.
Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.
Accurately identify and order required replacement parts.
Manage inventory and monitor labor and parts costs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Complete required service documentation and recordkeeping.
Evaluate repair costs versus equipment value when making repair decisions.
Adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.
