A Carolina Handling Field Service Technician works at various customer sites or in a shop environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting electro-mechanical problems, installations, and performing unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment. The role emphasizes excellent customer service in a polite and professional manner while working in a team environment.
Regularly required to stand, handle, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally. Visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work in diverse environments including manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, and outdoors, with exposure to oil, grease, dirt, and potential hazards like equipment movement and chemicals. Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, and airborne particles. Noise levels vary from moderate to loud. Overtime, after-hours, weekend work, and travel (including overnight) are required based on customer needs.
