This is a developmental opportunity for active-duty military personnel who will be separating from the military in the next three (3) to six (6) months. The SkillBridge Internship Program is designed to provide on-the-job training and experience in the civilian sector to SkillBridge applicants. SkillBridge is a Department of Defense (DOD) program that aligns civilian opportunities with a military member's job training and work experience at the end of their military duty. Applicants must be eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program.

Job Summary:

This role offers hands-on learning in the mechanics of material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. You will be guided by a mentor through our formal training program, which covers safety standards and customer interaction. Combining classroom modules with practical shop training, we aim to prepare you for a career as a Field Service Technician.

• Learn routine maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet trucks)
• Complete required training certifications
• Assist experienced mechanics
• Follow all health and safety protocols
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active military personnel eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills, including electrical diagrams and hydraulic systems
• Motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work under pressure
• Adaptable to project changes and capable of managing multiple tasks
• Effective team player and independent worker with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Quick learner who follows directions well
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; equipment provided for heavier items
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Capable of maneuvering in physically demanding environments
• Willing to work in various weather conditions (hot/cold extremes)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
