Job Description

This is a developmental opportunity for active-duty military personnel who will be separating from the military in the next three (3) to six (6) months. The SkillBridge Internship Program is designed to provide on-the-job training and experience in the civilian sector to SkillBridge applicants. SkillBridge is a Department of Defense (DOD) program that matches civilian opportunities to a military member's job training and work experience at the end of their military duty. Applicants must be eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program.

Job Summary:

This role offers training in the mechanics of material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. You will be guided by a mentor through our formal training program, which includes safety standards, customer interaction, classroom modules, and hands-on shop training. Our goal is to prepare you for a career as a Field Service Technician.

• Learn to perform routine maintenance, diagnose, and repair material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet trucks).
• Complete required training certifications.
• Assist experienced mechanics.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA Standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Military personnel eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic mechanical skills, including knowledge of electrical diagrams and hydraulic systems for daily maintenance.
• Motivated and willing to work safely in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to adapt to project changes and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well both independently and in team settings.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (equipment provided for heavier items).
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to maneuver in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (hot/cold) with appropriate provisions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
