Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Skid Steer Operator to join our paving and patch crews in Colorado. You will conduct routine inspections and operate skid steer equipment on daily tasks, assisting with grading and material movement.

Local Colorado travel will be required as part of project coverage. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and write.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Excellent driving skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load trucks and manage quantities of materials for loading.
  • Perform paving, grading, and related duties on the crew.
  • Finish grading work and build out corners.
  • Keep equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Conduct daily safety and equipment inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
  • Operate and maneuver skid steer, load materials, and assist with site prep.
  • Complete paperwork as necessary and assist with other duties.
  • Promote a culture of safety and health practices on site.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operator Skidsteer works on the Paving, Patch and Prep Crews. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Loads trucks, maintains proper quantities of material to be loaded, moves earth or material from one location to another, and performs paving/grading work.
  • Finishing grading work.
  • Building out corners
  • Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
  • Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Operates equipment, loading material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant. Moves earth or other materials from one location to another. Runs paving/grading equipment.
  • Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment. May maintain appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Completes are paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to read and write
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
