Job summary

Majestic Steel USA, Inc. is seeking a Skid/Pallet Builder (Carpenter) for the 2nd shift (1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.), on-site in Fontana, CA.

The role builds skids and pallets to spec, operates a lift truck, and supports the team to meet daily goals while upholding safety standards. The position requires a minimum of one year of lift truck experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow processes with good communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of lift truck operation experience.
• Lift truck experience handling heavy loads (10,000 pounds or more).

What You Will Do:

• Build Skids: Builds skids and pallets according to Majestic Steel and/or customer specifications, operate lift trucks to transport, store, and stage materials within the service center
• Maintain Safety: Perform daily lift truck inspections, move up and down from lift truck, and report any equipment issues
• Support Team Efforts: Work collaboratively with team to meet goals, contribute to housekeeping procedures, and complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned

Who We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Experience with hand tools, including up-cut saw & circular saw
• Skills:Strong attention to detail, ability to follow processes & procedures, and effective communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, mount & dismount equipment, capable of walking, climbing and bending for periods of time, and be comfortable working in hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions. Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
• Safety Requirements: Follow all established safety procedures, operate tools and equipment safely, and wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE), including a full-face protective shield when performing skid-building duties involving nail guns and other designated equipment.
