Job summary

Sundance Snowsports is seeking a part-time Ski/Snowboard Instructor to deliver safe, fun, and engaging lessons for guests, with a base pay of $17–$34 per hour. Shifts include 9:00 AM–4:30 PM; a minimum commitment of 3 days per week plus Sundays, with weekend/holiday work required.

The role advances through Apprentice/Zone levels with PSIA/AASI certification encouraged. Emphasis on safety, guest service, and brand standards, plus opportunities for growth and seasonal benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience.
• PSIA/ASSI certification or working toward certification.
• Personal skiing or snowboarding skills level 8+.
• Understand skiing/snowboarding technique and the methods to teach them.
• Attention to timeliness, work ethic and safety awareness.
• Operate 2-way radios for staff communication.
• PSIA/AASI certifications preferred.
• Physical requirements: ski/snowboard, lift 100+ pounds; multiple mobility tasks.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Model and teach "Your Responsibility Code".
• Attend required training and maintain 75% attendance when possible.
• Maintain professional communication with Snowsports leadership and guests.
• Understand and model snowsports policies and procedures.
• Help guests achieve goals, build relationships, and demonstrate salesmanship.
• Demonstrate mastery in communication, progressions, terrain, and speed.
• Provide the best demonstrations for the student’s level.
• Show knowledge appropriate to ability levels and expand it.
• Demonstrate personal skiing/snowboarding ability beyond student level.
• Teach children at apprentice level enthusiastically.
• Work toward PSIA/AASI certification and continued skills development.
• Display love of Snowsports and strive for improvement.
