Job summary

Mountain Capital Partners’ Brian Head Resort is seeking a Winter Sports School Apprentice for the winter 2026/2027 season. This entry-level role invites teens to learn teaching basics while assisting instructors in group lessons, under supervision, in outdoor mountain environments.

Applicants must love the outdoors, be friendly with kids, and handle extreme weather. A letter of recommendation from a Brian Head Resort Winter Sports School Instructor is required.

Qualifications

• Loves being outdoors, in the mountains, and being active.
• Friendly, patient, positive, and great with kids.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions such as wind, rain, and snow.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must provide a letter of recommendation from a Brian Head Resort Winter Sport School Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructors with teaching skiing or snowboarding in group lesson settings.
• Support guest engagement by helping create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment.
• Learn instructional techniques and safety procedures under guidance.
• Observe and participate in lessons to gain experience with skill progression and guest interaction.
• Provide resort and mountain information to guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
